Merryhill School in Rocklin was recently
named "Best of the Best" daycare facility by
The Placer County Herald. Through ballots
and an online voting system, readers of the
publication acknowledged Merryhill School as
the best in the area for its excellent
reputation and commitment to learning.
Merryhill Preschool provides an environment
for children that is warm and offers an
exceptional early childhood education
curriculum, Links to Learning. Links to
Learning, which extends from infant through
kindergarten, combines academic learning
experiences and structured play to engage
children in a variety of ways to help them
discover, explore and learn to their fullest
potential. Merryhill Preschool stands behind
the philosophy that an individual approach
to learning is key for educational
development. Acknowledging different
learning styles, the school recognizes that
some children are especially good auditory
learners, while others are visual and need
to see pictures as well as draw them. "Each
Merryhill student receives personalized and
individual attention from our staff of
quality teachers who inspire children to
have fun while they learn," said Danielle
Beckett, principal of Merryhill School.
Merryhill School offers many unique programs
and recently introduced its new preschool
Spanish program that is specifically
designed to introduce children to a second
language between the ages of two and five.
The program differs from other traditional
language courses in that Spanish is used
alongside English in all aspects of the
student's educational experience from
signing songs to learning the alphabet to
playing game.
